HalSail provides web-based software for managing and scoring sailing regattas, championships and club races. The application allows race officers and administrators to set up racing classes, schedules, series and events, maintain boat registers and handicaps, and enter results for individual races. It supports multiple handicap schemes, including
PY, IRC, PHRF, YTC, ORC, ECHO, NHC and others, and calculates race and series scores using several points systems. Users can input results on phones, tablets or computers, display results online or on large screens, and share links by email or social media. HalSail also offers integrations with external services such as SailEvent, the RYA Portsmouth Yardstick database and Irish Sailing Live, as well as an API for programmatic access to schedule and results data.
