GTI Capital seeks to invest in the information technology and telecommunication sectors with a focus on network solutions and convergence technologies - that include wired or wireless telecommunication and corporate data networks; B2B;
e-commerce; knowledge management; electronics; photonics; and enterprise applications integration.
GTI Capital prefers to invest in Eastern Canada with a focus on Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, and Toronto. It seeks to invest between $5 million and $10 million along with its limited partners or co-investors in exchange for a minority position in its portfolio company.
GTI Capital may also invest in additional rounds with the total investment exceeding $25 million. It prefers to take a board seat in its portfolio company and participate in executive and special board committees.
GTI Capital seeks to exit its investments through listing on a stock exchange or an acquisition. It began operation in 1992, with its headquarters in Montreal in Canada.
