GripAble began during our research with stroke patients struggling to use their hands for simple activities. Everyday tasks - getting dressed in the morning, holding a glass of water - are a huge frustration for them. This is the
reality for over 500 million people around the world suffering from impaired arm mobility. These patients need, and want, more therapy.
GripAble's first product is a highly sensitive, portable hand-grip that connects wirelessly with a mobile-based app, allowing patients to play our fun therapy games. It is designed for low-cost, easy-access assessment and therapy of the hand and arm disability, providing increased engagement and allowing for self-training in hospitals and at home.
