Technology: The Server side is written in J2EE with pluggable persistent layer for
SQL DB and NoSQL frameworks like Cassandra. The solution can be easily scaled to serve millions of users and can be hosted in the “cloud”. The back end contains powerful reporting and community moderation tools for both – auto and self-moderation of anonymous posts. Front-end UI with the back end through JSON and XML API. The first offering, the Gossipz app for Facebook was written using HTML 5 and can be easily converted into mobile application for iPhone and Android.
Business Model: Gosspiz Inc focuses on offering tempting Premium Features, using extremely easy, seamless, one-click micropayment. The user is charged to credit card information already held by Facebook witha simple “yes I approve this charge”. By connecting to e-wallets like FB credits, iTunes accounts and Google Wallet, Gossipz positions itself to capture recurring passive charges, making it as easy as possible for users to click a purchase and stay subscribed.
