The school is known for its low-residency undergraduate and graduate programs. This means that students from all over the country can complete their studies at home, visiting the Goddard campus only two or three times a year to review their
work and engage in mentorship and intensive study.
Every applicant is evaluated individually. Admissions are on a rolling basis, allowing students to begin programs at different times throughout the year.
The college has also become known for its unique academics, especially its MFA in Creative Writing program. The degree offers many genre concentrations, like
