It also supports speech-to-sign and text-to-sign by converting spoken or typed English into animated, fluent BSL. Gestura is co-created with members of the Deaf community and informed by academic research to address barriers in education, healthcare, employment, and everyday interactions. The platform is designed for real-time, spontaneous use without specialised hardware and keeps core translation features free for individual users.
