While some technical colleges suffer from a lack of options, Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) excels in its academic variety. With more than 200 diploma, certificate and associate’s degree programs, FVTC has the right training program for virtually every technical career.
Fox Valley divides its academics into about 15 departments, including the
following popular subjects:
* Agriculture, Horticulture & Natural Resources
* Business, Management & Finance
* Construction
* Culinary Arts & Hospitality
* Engineering
* Health Science
* Manufacturing
* Transportation
Most FVTC programs focus on a specific profession, such as Computer Support Specialist or Fire Protection Technician. This narrow scope helps to give you the skills you need to begin your new career after graduation.
In addition to its vocational training programs, FVTC also offers some courses in basic skills and the liberal arts. Some examples include English Language Competency, General Education and Spanish for Professionals.
Students pursuing diploma and associate’s degree programs are eligible for financial aid. The priority deadline for the FAFSA is April 15, and institutional scholarships require a separate application.
FVTC admissions application is available online. Admissions requirements include a $30 application fee, placement assessment and official transcripts. Some programs may have additional requirements.
