Fondation HVIT is a nonprofit organization created to support people harmed by tobacco and related products and to address the health and social impacts of nicotine use. The foundation provides information, updates, and assistance for members of the large Quebec tobacco class action and for other individuals affected by smoking across Canada. It
develops and runs public awareness campaigns highlighting the risks of cigarettes, vapes, and nicotine substitutes. Fondation HVIT also supports youth-focused prevention strategies aimed at reducing smoking initiation and consumption in high‑risk populations. In addition, it allocates funding to medical and scientific research on smoking-related diseases and the effects of tobacco derivatives and replacement products. The organization monitors legal and mediation processes involving tobacco companies to ensure that its support and advocacy activities remain aligned with ongoing public health and justice efforts.
