Company Performance Metrics

We encourage environmental education and optimize the recycling and reverse logistics chain for companies by offering the correct gamified destination of recyclable solid waste through our smart collection machine including on-board sensing to generate post-consumer analytics in order to engage and benefit the consumer.
The first major problem we
solved, and which is the starting point of our startup, is the inadequate disposal of post-consumer solid waste (such as plastic packaging, PET bottles, soda cans, among others) by consumers and the negative impact caused by the absence of collection points and environmental education.
The second problem that we solved is the lack of data regarding these post-consumer disposals, that is, the analytics involved regarding the disposal habits of that region and population. In Brazil, part of the waste generating companies are unaware of and cannot transparently monitor the path, impact and metrics of post-consumer waste disposal when it arrives in the hands of their consumer and, consequently, are also unable to implement a policy of reverse logistics within the context of a circular economy. This is mainly due to the lack of discard data that can help these companies to mitigate the negative environmental impact, or use this data intelligence to expand their sales and reverse packaging logistics, improve brand positioning and engage their consumer to adopt practices more sustainable and return to your point of sale.
Based on the problem addressed above, through validations, market research, interviews and field analysis, Flori Tech has developed an intelligent post-consumer solid waste collection machine.
For this, our team built a technology based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and sensing of quantitative metrics (such as volume, weight of waste), which collects disposal data and relates it to the consumer who performed the action, linking this interaction to our gamification system on the Flori Tech platform. Gamification linked to correct disposal aims to engage consumers to return and repeat the action, aiming at a positive change in habits and, consequently, an increasing recycling rate.
How does it work? The consumer performs the interaction in the application embedded in the machine to perform an initial identification, or if you prefer, we also offer the option to discard without identifying yourself. Then, the consumer disposes of the waste and as he disposes of the waste, the machine reads the data and sends it via API to our platform where the metrics and benefits linked to that consumer are made available. These benefits to be used can be gifts, discounts or even cashback in a fintech partner.
Flori Tech's smart collection machine was designed to be used in commercial and high-traffic areas, such as malls, markets, schools and even coworking spaces. Our business model is B2B2C, in which we monetize through the monthly lease of equipment.
The contracting company that wants to carry out the reverse logistics and correct destination of its waste, receives access to our WebApp platform to monitor, manage and export waste disposal data in real time, such as kilos of waste discarded, number of discards, amount of emission of carbon dioxide and methane that was avoided, among others. In addition to adding or editing the benefits offered to users who have discarded. We also offer the possibility for the customer to connect the data received via API with their CRM system.
For the collection of waste from the Flori Tech machine, we contact a local and certified cooperative to make the correct destination or use the collection service of the contracting company, if it already has one.
To know the correct time to collect and optimize travel, we offer our mobile app (Android) that informs the cooperative when it is close to performing the collection (with 80% of the internal capacity full), based on the analysis of volume data. of the machine itself. In this application, it is also possible to contact technical support and trace collection routes using Google Maps.
