Franklin Haney (FLH) Company is a family-owned and operated, Washington, DC-based financial services company that invests nationally in property development and real estate. FLH has holdings in several states and the District of Columbia. Since its founding in 1967 by Franklin Haney, FLH Company has acquired a portfolio worth over $10 billion, with
a combined 15 million square feet of space. With its goal to build a better tomorrow for communities nationwide, FLH Company has become a leader in in the areas of creative planning, innovative financing, and acquisitions.
FLH Company’s initial investments included development projects on hotels, apartments, parking garages, and office buildings located in the state of Tennessee, including the Internal Revenue Service Building located in Memphis. Other significant projects in the south included the Marietta Tower in downtown Atlanta, Georgia and the Social Security Payment Center in Birmingham, Alabama. FLH entered into food and beverage investments in the 1980s with the purchase of a Coca-Cola bottling company and a Miller beer distribution center.
Following its initial success in the southern region of the United States, FLH Company moved its operations to Washington, DC in 1994. With internal processes managed in Washington, DC by Frank Haney, Jr., FLH company is a frontrunning company in the Washington metropolitan area marketplace with the ownership of over 1 million square feet of space in the Portals Office Complex, home to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and an investment in the Dulles Greenway Toll Road in suburban Virginia of over $1 billion.
FLH Company currently has two headquarters, one located in Bethesda, Maryland, an immediate suburb of Washington, DC, and one in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The executive team is composed of chairman and founder, Frank Haney Sr., and his children, Frank Haney Jr. and Mae Haney Grennan, who serve as President and Chief Counsel.
