Company Performance Metrics
Of the 5.6 million children in Canada, 1 in 5 will experience issues with mental health. This impacts learning and places significant burdens on parents, educators, and care providers. The burden to find the right solutions falls on the shoulders of caregivers. Gaps in the quality and accessibility of resources place an increased burden on our
healthcare and social support systems. This ripples out to affect society as a whole.
This is why less than 20% will receive appropriate treatment. That means that, approximately 1.1 million of our children will be struggling with a mental health related disorder in the near future.
We know that early intervention and a proactive approach through education can mitigate mental health problems from occurring at later stages of development. But we have also identified a massive gap in the market for a tool that is research backed, simple, and engaging for students and caregivers.
That’s why we are building Fledge. Fledge is the first online platform to gamify mental health and equip children with foundational life skills so all children have a launchpad to thrive.
Students K to 3 grow their own virtual world by completing activities that mitigate anxiety, improve focus, and develop self-regulation. As they build and nurture their environment, their build their own toolkit of strategies and life skills.
We have done the heavy lifting for parents and educators by providing easily accessible, simple to use, and an engaging platform that makes learning important skills fun and relevant. This allows our users to have more time to authentically connect with the children they care for.
