For students serious about music, business, media and the performing arts who want to grow socially, intellectually and ethically, there’s the Five Towns College in Huntington Station, New York.
The school is devoted to creativity. No matter which field you pursue, there will be campus events, activities or resources for you, from theatrical
performances and concerts to upscale MIDI, MAC and PC labs to film/video and audio studios.
The Student Activities Club aims to provide an enriching college life, offering many clubs, student government and leadership opportunities for those with varying interests. The school often hosts guest speakers, musical performances and theatre productions in its state-of-the-art performing arts center.
Academics include degrees in a broad range of fields, like Jazz/Commercial Music, Film/Video, Business Management or Mass Communications. Graduate programs are available in Music, Education, Music Education and more.
Admissions require students to submit an application, two letters of recommendation and ACT/SAT scores. Music and Theatre students must audition, while Musical Theatre students must complete both a music and theatre audition.
Students who complete a FAFSA may be eligible to receive Title IV federal financial aid through the form of Pell grants, SEO grants, work-study programs and direct student loan programs. Five Towns also awards qualifying students private grants and scholarships.
