Fieldwork Studio operates as an artist-led organisation that connects contemporary arts with rural ecology, organic agriculture and environmental research. The studio runs artist support services including one-to-one mentoring, strategy sessions and group professional development workshops. Its residencies and retreats provide time and space for
artists to focus on research, writing and practice, shaped by organic agriculture principles. Fieldwork Studio also delivers community growing activities such as organic growing workshops, school visits, volunteer programmes, vegetable bag schemes and herb garden projects. Alongside these activities, the organisation leads ecology and academic research projects on biodiversity and rare arable plants, sharing findings through talks, farm walks and educational outreach. These programmes collectively support creative practice, environmental learning and access to rural landscapes.
