FDV was founded in June 2006 as a project of seven engineers from the University of Buenos Aires who believed that it was possible to create a workspace that fosters research, continuous learning, and strong interpersonal relationships and that at the same time can offer quality services to their customers. In 2017, FDV was acquired by intive, a
global digital product development company with its roots in Europe. Today, with more than 1,400 highly qualified specialists, intive-FDV co-creates software solutions that accelerate the digital transformation of their customers, adding value throughout the application lifecycle, from design to maintenance. The company comprises 12 development centers in Germany, Argentina, and Poland, as well as regional offices in the U.S., U.K., and France.

- DynamicJasper: Dynamic Reporting Library that has become a standard, for Java Open Source Applications. It is downloaded all over the world, in more than 156 countries
- Sheena Time Tracker: Agent-oriented software. By chatting with the agent, you are able to get remainders, be asked about your daily tasks, and provide information in order to measure organizational climate, do surveys and opinion polls, etc.
