Developed at Stanford, our patented Xirtam3 technology is a hybrid-hydrogel consisting of a self-assembling peptide EFK8 and Poloxamer 407. In a published study1 it was shown that when combined, the constituent parts form a highly desirable nanofiber network creating a 3-dimensional structure that resembles the extracellular matrix our own bodies
create to heal tissue, otherwise known as a “scaffold”.
The Xirtam3 technology anchors to viable tissue and forms a bridge for cells to translocate into the scaffold structure, designed for cell attachment and cell dispersion throughout the network, allowing cells and tissue to regenerate more effectively.
