EneaSpace is an open-source rocketry startup based in Puerto Real (Cádiz, Spain), at the heart of the Andalusian aerospace cluster. We are building Luna-1, a two-stage sub-orbital sounding rocket derived from the open-source MINDI-Mesosphere design from UC Berkeley's STAR club. Luna-1 will fly to 52 km from El Arenosillo (INTA) in Q4 2026,
demonstrating end-to-end manufacturing, recovery and scientific payload capability for a fraction of the traditional cost.
Our long-term mission is Luna-2: a reusable VTVL rocket with a 3D-printed metalox engine, inspired by Relativity Space's manufacturing approach. With an expendable upper stage, Luna-2 will open the small satellite deployment market to LEO — targeting cubesats and demonstrators in the 1-50 kg range, a segment underserved by current European launchers like PLD Space's Miura 5. Target cost per launch: €30,000. EneaSpace is currently raising a €450K pre-seed round to fund Luna-1's first flight.
