East-Tec has been creating privacy and security products and solutions since the end of 1997. The company was founded by Horatiu Tanescu and Eugen Malita while still in high school. They foresaw the importance of protecting sensitive information from falling into the wrong hands, and the necessity of protecting the privacy, identity and
confidential information of the computer and Internet user.
Today East-Tec has a diversified customer base that spans individuals, small to medium-sized businesses, large corporations, and governmental agencies, in over one hundred countries, and on all continents. The company is widely known for the east-tec Eraser online privacy protection software, recommended and reviewed by hundreds of magazines, media websites, networks, books, and IT and security professionals from all over the world.
