It serves various industries, such as agriculture, education, energy and utilities, media, sports and recreation, electric power, and transportation; and federal, state, and local emergency response and government agencies, clubs, societies, consumers, and organizations. The company was formerly known as AWS Convergence Technologies, Inc. and changed its name to Earth Networks, Inc. in January 2011. The company was founded in 1993 and is based in Germantown, Maryland.
