Company Performance Metrics
Deus X Defense is a vertically integrated, AI-native physical security company protecting the critical infrastructure the AI economy runs on — data centers, energy, and other high-value sites. Today's security market is fragmented across vendors who don't talk to each other, and no one is accountable when a threat gets through. Deus X
Defense instead owns the entire operation as one accountable stack: the operator, the operating system (DxOS), and the physical-AI assets it orchestrates — drones, robotics, sensors, and software — working as a single closed loop.
The company is deliberately hardware- and technology-agnostic. It orchestrates best-in-class assets from across the market — drones, robotics, cameras, and sensors — rather than competing with the companies that build them, and its R&D goes only into the core software and data platform it must own, licensing or partnering for everything else. That makes Deus X Defense a channel and integration partner to the broader security-technology ecosystem, and it re-rates a traditionally low-margin guarding business toward software-level economics as automation comes online.
The stakes are financial as much as physical: a single physical attack can render a critical site uninsurable, and what can't be insured can't be financed. Founded by Pat Madden — a Marine and the operator who scaled TASER and robotics at Axon — Deus X Defense delivers the security outcome as a service today and earns its way to autonomy one site at a time. It is already operating with real revenue and holds the only nationwide, hardware-agnostic, one-to-many FAA BVLOS drone waiver run as a security service. Security is the first mission of a platform built to orchestrate autonomous physical systems at scale.
