Debitoor is an online billing and accounting program for freelancers and SMEs created in 2012. Its objective is to help entrepreneurs succeed, making it easier for companies to bill and book. Debitoor is a SaaS (Software as a Service) in the cloud to which the user can always create and send invoices from any terminal with internet access. You
can also record your expenses and keep your accounting without complications.
Its simple interface makes it easy for anyone without accounting knowledge to use it. It incorporates an invoice designer that improves the image of the business. From creating budgets and delivery notes and subsequently transforming them to invoices in one click, to reconcile payments and collections automatically by uploading your bank statement. In addition, the mobile app for Android and iPhone allows the user to carry their billing and expenses on their phone.
The origins of Debitoor are in Denmark, responding to the need for an easy-to-use billing and accounting program. It is currently available in six languages and in more than 40 countries. Its main European markets are Germany, France, United Kingdom, Italy and Spain. However, Debitoor emerged under the protection of e-conomic, one of the pioneering programs in cloud accounting. In 2015 Debitoor separated from e-conomic and was set up as an independent company - Debtor ECI - under the HgCapital investment fund, which Debitoor markets in Europe. Currently, Alessandro Justesen Leoni chairs Debitoor ECI.
