Deadmanswitch provides a subscription-based mobile application that delivers encrypted digital packages to designated recipients after user absence is detected. The service allows users to create packages that include recipient addresses, messages, attachments, and a passphrase hint, which are encrypted locally on the device before upload. Presence
detection is scheduled by the user and uses step counter activity, email, and SMS to confirm that the user is still present. If no confirmation is received within the selected interval, the system triggers delivery of the stored package via email with an access link. Recipients use the hint and their passphrase to decrypt the package in a browser, and packages self-destruct after a defined period. The platform uses AES-256-CBC encryption and does not store user passphrases.
