Our machine vision software delivers precise, automated measurements of organized motion and anomaly events in the analysis of unstructured crowded scenes. We envisage using the existing infrastructure of video cameras for acquiring image datasets on-the-fly. We will deploy an easy-to-use data-driven software system for parsing of significant
events by analyzing image sequences taken at public venues. We address the problem of overcrowding and confrontation at public events. Issues associated with aggressive crowd behavior can occur within a few seconds with devastating consequences. Our technology can be made available as turn-key software or through a web interface via which additional modules with algorithms to analyze images of specific types of motion in streaming video or other imaging modalities can be added as needed by the SaaS application. In the smart cities, our approach to motion analysis will provide information in real time and predictive traffic analytics in regard to tentative road and foot traffic congestions. It can be applied to monitoring of overcrowding at train stations, bus stops, and hospitals to help navigate traffic by contributing to traffic flow optimization in smart traffic management systems. Our technology will provide a detailed foot and vehicle traffic analysis and can be embedded in a new generation of compact Police car, Fire Track, and school, and border cameras.
