Datasektionen is a nonprofit student chapter for computer science students that organises social, cultural, sports and study-related activities. The chapter provides pubs, parties, game nights, hacker evenings, board game events and larger banquets as part of its student-life offering. It runs numerous committees and projects that manage
communication, equality work, alumni contact, reception of new students and maintenance of chapter facilities and systems. Datasektionen’s Business Relations Group arranges lunch lectures, study visits, a yearly career fair and other company events to connect students with employers. The chapter also monitors courses and study environment issues and offers forums for student democracy through meetings and elections.
