The data centre originated from a proof of concept idea based around the pre-existing infrastructure at the Maidstone Studios that were
integral to television broadcasting. Its infrastructure is created utilizing contemporary, forward-thinking technologies.
In Custodian Data Centre’s first year of operation, it won the Green Data Centre award for its fresh air cooling system. It is also ISO 27001 accredited and has continued to maintain its certified status, transitioning to the new standard. It utilizes the skills and talents of its own staff in the building, design, and certification of its infrastructure. That way it has the ability to continually improve its systems and not rely on any 3rd parties for any fault resolution or essential maintenance.
