During the second half of the accelerator program cryptocurrencies have become in the focus of retail investors. The mass market started to invest in cryptocurrencies without using regulated financial institutions as intermediaries. Therefore, consumer protection requirements such as investor risk profiling are not being applied and retail investors exposing themselves to the various risks of cryptocurrencies.
