Copma is a cooperative company operating for over 50 years in the service sector, in particular in areas including environmental hygiene and sanitation, maintenance of green areas, and duct cleaning. Established in Ferrara in 1971, it has become a reference point for the Italian service sector thanks to the high-quality standards reached by the
company. This is the result of Copma’s continuous research for cutting-edge tools and technologies, which have supported the company’s growth. Its mission is to improve the quality of services in order to contribute to improving the quality of life in the whole community. Specifically, the services provided by the company include: cleaning and sanitation in large communities (public administrations, healthcare facilities, industries, offices, etc.); duct systems cleaning and sanitation in buildings of any size; design, creation and maintenance of both public and private green areas. The Group is active in multiple segments of the tertiary sector thanks to the investments made in several companies operating in the healthcare and diagnostic sector, in the treatment and disposal of waste, and in the real estate sector. Many certifications confirm the successful path taken by Copma: among these are UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), SA8000:2014 (Social Responsibility), UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems), and UNI EN ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems). For its commitment to integrating management systems, the company was awarded the prestigious “Merit Award” (Certification Body SGS Italia), the Certificate of Excellence for companies that have distinguished themselves for their efficiency and effectiveness in the management of certified systems. In 2010, the company’s Quality System was certified as compliant with the ANMDO - IQC Standard, strengthening Copma’s role as a reliable partner for large hospitals, even those with particularly complex structures. Copma has designed the Pchs® system (Probiotic Cleaning Hygiene System), which was created in collaboration with the University of Ferrara in order to reduce nosocomial infections. The system is based on microbial detergents and, compared to traditional chemical products, ensures protection against bacteria and viruses for up to 24 hours, has a lower environmental impact, and can significantly reduce costs.
