Nicknamed “the campus beautiful,” Concord University is a small, picturesque and charming campus where students and faculty get to know and work with one another.
Located in Athens, West Virginia, Concord offers bachelor’s degrees in professional fields and liberal arts. Programs offered include Accounting, Communication Arts, Education, Finance,
Social Work, Recreation and Tourism Management, and Theatre Arts at the undergraduate level. One master’s degree is offered in Education.
Since the student body is fairly small, students classes at Concord remain small and the faculty to student ratio low.
Because of Concord’s size, and because most students live in campus residence halls, students get to know one another well. Some ways of meeting fellow students is through the almost 200 student organizations, Greek life, athletic teams and student government, all part of Concord’s vibrant student life.
At The Academic Success Center students can get free tutoring and study skills training.
Since Concord is a public university, Concord’s tuition is considerably lower for in-state residents. Financial aid which is awarded eligible students and is available through such sources as loans, grants and scholarships.
