Students looking to become certified tractor trailer, truck or bus drivers and more would do well to consider the Commercial Driver Training School in West Babylon, New York.
The school contains a training field for students to train in skill maneuvering and off-road exercises, as well as a wide variety of equipment.
Academics offered at the
school include training programs that will prepare you to take the written and road tests to obtain a commercial driver’s license. Courses are offered for students looking to drive buses, tractor-trailers and trucks.
The school also offers fleet training for fleet companies, which include driver evaluation programs, fork lift certifications, refresher training and training for emergency vehicles like fire trucks and ambulances.
Students interested in applying must contact the school. Admissions require applicants to be at least 21 years of age, pass a Department of Transportation physical exam and be able to obtain a proper driver’s permit through the Department of Motor Vehicles. No previous experience is necessary. The only requirement is that students have a valid New York State driver’s license.
The school does not offer financial aid at this time, although it works with veteran’s assistance programs to help cover the tuition cost of post-9/11 veterans.
