The company was founded as DistriVision in 1997 and was renamed Commerce One in 1997. The company saw tremendous success after going public in 1999 but crashed in the wake of the dot-come crash in 2000.
The company filed for bankruptcy protection in 2004 and
was acquired by Perfect Commerce in 2006.
