Company Performance Metrics
Most beautiful event pieces get used once. Cake stands, vases, serveware, linens, chairs — bought for a wedding or a birthday, then stored in a closet for years. The same goes for skills: the friend who builds stunning charcuterie boards, the neighbor with an eye for tablescapes, the cousin who bartends every family party. Real talent that never
quite turns into income, because there's no obvious place to offer it. Meanwhile, anyone planning their own gathering faces the same false choice: pay premium prices and meet order minimums at traditional rental companies, or risk Facebook Marketplace with no protection, no payments infrastructure, and no guarantee the item even shows up. Collect Sisu was built to sit in the middle. It's a peer-to-peer marketplace for event rentals and services — a platform where neighbors rent decor, tableware, glassware, linens, furniture, and bounce houses directly from each other, and where everyday people with real skills can finally get paid for what they're already great at: styling, florals, bartending, photography, baking, charcuterie boards, hosting. Not traditional vendors. Not big rental companies. Just talented people sharing the things they own and the things they know. Hosts list items and services for free and set their own prices. Cancellation policies, pickup or delivery, and optional security deposits are set per listing. Whether you've got a closet full of beautiful pieces or a skill people always ask you to bring, Collect Sisu turns it into income. Collect Sisu was founded in June 2025 by Megan Ealy Barraford and Caleb McIntosh. Megan leads brand, growth, and host community; Caleb serves as CTO and sole engineer, having built the platform end-to-end and developed the underlying financial model. The company is bootstrapped, live in Manhattan, and expanding to additional markets. iOS app available on the App Store.
