About the Company
CEG developed a unique biomass-refining technology based on torrefaction, replacing fossil fuels in the existing electricity and heat infrastructure with renewable biomass.
With the aid of its own patented torrefaction reactor, raw biomass – derived from necessary forest maintenance and residual flows from sustainably managed forests – is
converted into biocoal pellets that have the same high calorific value and properties as highly polluting coal.
The production capacity of CEG's plug-and-play torrefaction system is 20,000 tonnes of biocoal per reactor per year. In addition, smarter technology means lower capital expenditure and operating expenses.
