Company Performance Metrics
Collective Knowledge (cKnowledge) is a research, engineering and consulting company supporting open-source projects, investing into startups and sponsoring non-profits that help researchers and engineers automate their tedious and repetitive tasks, improve productivity, unleash creativity, accelerate innovation, reduce all R&D costs and make AI
accessible to everyone.
It was established by Grigori Fursin in 2019 in Paris based on his long and tedious experience pioneering the use of AI and federated learning to automate development of high-performance and cost-effective computer systems, and helping the community reproduce the state-of-the-art research projects and validate them in the real world.
Here is a highlight of our accomplishments:
* we invested into cKnowledge.io acquired by OctoML in 2021;
* we developed the 2nd generation of the Collective Knowledge framework (CK) powering cKnowledge.io platform (deprecated in 2022 for the new Collective Mind framework);
* we developed Collective Mind automation language (CM) adopted by MLCommons (125+ AI organizations) to make it easier to benchmark AI systems across diverse models, data sets, software and hardware from different vendors;
* we helped MLCommons modularize and automate MLPerf benchmark to run it across commodity hardware from Qualcomm, Intel, Nvidia, AMD, Amazon and other vendors - it enabled the 1st mass-scale community submission to MLPerf inference v3.1 with >12000 performance and power results (out of 13500 from 20+ other companies).
We currently work on a new project to help everyone automatically generate high-performance and cost-effective AI systems using MLPerf and CM.
