Cerciag began to provide cooperative for the education and rehabilitation of disabled children. It was founded as a consequence of the efforts of parents and teachers who banded together to establish a viable alternative for children with disabilities who are of school age to attend a private school because there was no space for them in the
so-called public school. They provide general-interest social services (education, rehabilitation, training, occupation and leisure, residential home and home support), as well as disability-specific services. It also acts as a strategic partner for employers, families, and other social actors, promoting the qualification and social and professional inclusion of persons with disabilities who have difficulty accessing the employment market.
