CareerKit provides a hybrid set of tools and platforms that make career guidance accessible, engaging, and scalable for African youth. We solve the challenge of limited career exposure by offering both offline gamified products and an AI-powered digital platform, designed specifically for low-resource communities.
Our first solution, the RIASEC
Board Game, is a fun, psychometric-based tool built on Dr. John Holland’s career theory. It allows learners to discover their personality types (Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional) and connect them to career options in a classroom or group setting. It transforms what is usually a static assessment into an engaging, social experience.
The second solution is our Specialized CareerKits. These are hands-on, industry-specific kits that simulate day-to-day professional tasks. Each kit includes a game or practical activity, a textbook, and career resources that give learners both knowledge and experience in in-demand fields such as engineering, health sciences, agriculture, and IT.
Our third and scaling solution is the CareerKit Platform, a digital social network that merges TikTok’s engagement with LinkedIn’s professionalism. Using the IKIGAI framework, it integrates psychometric testing, AI-driven job matching, and location-based labor market data to recommend the top five career paths for each user. The platform gamifies career development with progress tracking, mentorship access, and a “10,000-hour mastery” pathway.
