Canacoll Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that advances taxonomic research on the Canadian National Collection of Insects, Arachnids and Nematodes. The foundation supports researchers who work with the collection by funding out-of-pocket expenses for short-term visits. These visits are used to identify, curate, and enhance the
information content of specimens in the collection. Canacoll Foundation operates a grants program in which potential grantees are nominated and endorsed by Canadian National Collection staff or Canacoll members. It also maintains a fund dedicated to sustaining and expanding this research support. As a registered charity, it accepts donations and issues receipts for income tax purposes to help finance its activities.
