choose and purchase books monthly throughout their elementary school career, building literacy skills and stronger, more positive educational culture within a high-risk demographic. <br/> By teaming up with Scholastic Book Clubs, we provide children in grades K-6 who are living in poverty or low-income households, the opportunity to choose and own books.
Over 31 million children are living in low-income families in America. In middle-income neighborhoods the ratio is 13 books per child-in low-income neighborhoods, the ratio is one book for every 300 children. <BR/> Book Trust uniquely delivers unbounded choice and ownership of books to children in poverty, increasing their literacy skills and fostering life-long learning.
