The Blueprint MedTech initiative is an NIH incubator that intends to help inventors build cutting-edge medical gadgets for diagnosing and treating nervous system illnesses. The program's objective is to accelerate the transition of innovative technologies from early-stage development to preparedness for first-in-human clinical trials. The
program aims to accelerate the translation of novel technologies to first-in-human clinical studies by providing non-dilutive funding and access to critical resources such as planning support, design and testing services, and expert consultations on regulatory and commercialization issues. Its purpose is to improve patient access to safe and effective medical devices while encouraging additional investment from industry and the government.
