Black in Data operates a collaborative professional network focused on people of colour working in data and analytics. The organization provides structured learning pathways, including early exposure initiatives for teenagers and training resources for aspiring and current data professionals. It offers a mentoring programme that connects members
with experienced practitioners and senior leaders to support career development. Black in Data runs the BiD Academy to deliver technical and soft skills workshops that support career transitions into data roles. It also maintains a job promotion board and hiring channels that allow employers to advertise roles to its community. Through events, podcasts, and online content, Black in Data shares knowledge on analytics, data science, data engineering, and workplace topics. The network partners with organizations to support recruitment, development, and inclusion in data teams.
