BinaryBots is an edtech company that offers smart toys to teach children.
Acquired by
Cambridge Hacklab Academy
- Chris Burgess: Founder & Managing Director
About the Company
BinaryBots are toy robots that teach kids to code. The company aims to make coding accessible and affordable for everyone and believes that robots are the best way to engage in the journey of learning how digital stuff really works. Since 2012 the team have worked tirelessly with hundreds of children and schools to develop a unique range of
cardboard robots and activities that make learning to code easy and most importantly fun for everyone.
The robot range features characters including Binary, the robot inventor from Planet Hex, his best friend Dimm and the ‘super saucer’ UFO. Children build their own robot from a kit and learn to write code to control its actions.
