BetterTogether Forever is a 501(c)(3) animal welfare nonprofit that focuses on keeping people and their pets together. The organization provides shelter prevention services for low-income, under-resourced, and housing-challenged pet owners, including spay/neuter, wellness care, vaccinations, vet care access, food, and supplies. It runs
community engagement programs such as pet wellness clinics and pet food pantries in partnership with local veterinarians and agencies. Its Unsheltered People with Pets (UPP) program supports unhoused or transitionally housed pet parents on a case-by-case referral basis. The nonprofit partners with foundations and community organizations across Los Angeles to build a safety net that reduces pet surrenders to shelters.
