Better is a new social media platform designed to protect users from the vast amounts of cyberbullying, trolling, threats and fake news that is constantly being created on other mainstream social media platforms.
We do this by requiring ALL user accounts to be verified and validated so we know they are connected to real people. We do not allow
unverified accounts to post or interact with any other accounts, although they can still follow their favourite journalists, politicians, entertainers, etc. in read-only mode.
For security and privacy, we partner with third-party ID verification companies to perform the verification and validation. We do not hold any identity information in our database. However, in cases where we are legally compelled to release user information, the data can be manually re-created by the third party and released directly to the necessary authorities.
We believe that by enabling real people to have actual conversations with other real people we can all work together to make the world a Better place.
