Plenty of schools claim to focus on the individual, but at Beloit College
it’s more than a claim: it’s a priority.
Beloit stresses the importance of diversity and encourages individuality
in its student body. As a result, student life at Beloit has something
for everyone, with more than 100 student organizations and over 15
special interest
housing options.
Individuality is just as important in the classroom, too. Beloit College
has a small student-to-faculty ratio, giving you the advantage of small
class sizes and personalized instruction.
With nearly 20 departments, there’s no shortage of academics, either.
From Art History to International Relations, the school features a wide
range of concentrations. There are more than 50 fields of study, and
because the school encourages interdisciplinary education, there’s plenty
of room to explore.
The school also prides itself on financial aid. Eligible students at
Beloit qualify for need-based aid, and several institutional scholarships
are also available.
Many of these institutional scholarships are based on merit. For example,
the Presidential Scholarship and Eaton Scholarship both use GPA and test
scores as their main criteria.
