The BankAtlantic story began in 1952 with the opening of a single office in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Over the years, BankAtlantic’s dedication and commitment to South Florida has helped fuel its tremendous growth. In the process, the organization has become a community and civic leader, and "Florida’s Most Convenient Bank."
BankAtlantic has 73 branches and is now one of the largest and oldest financial institutions based in Florida. It has invested more than half a century building its community branch network in Broward, Miami-Dade, Hillsborough, Indian River, Martin and Palm Beach counties as well as the Tampa Bay market. BankAtlantic continues to consider new markets and new ways to serve its valuable client base.
