This is especially interesting for countries that do not have Orange Books (e.g. New Zealand, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Europe).

While our search strategy does not constitute a full-blown freedom-to-operate search, it does save lawyers, pharmaceutical companies, and academics a significant amount of time. For example, the time needed to browse all different countries’ databases, copy/pasting patent numbers, checking simple families, conducting initial phases of an FTO, etc. Moreover, it circumvents language barriers (e.g. Spanish, Korean) and makes it user-friendly for English speakers.
