Balester Optical was started in 1934 by Fred Balester in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where the company built a strong reputation for quality and service. The Balester family remained involved in the business until September 2012 when the company was purchased by Essilor. In 2014 the name was changed to Balester Digital Optical to better reflect the
changing optical business. We have taken the quality and service you have come to know from the Balester name and added the latest digital technology, forming Balester Digital Optical.
