Company Performance Metrics
I started Atcon Consulting because I kept seeing the same thing: brilliant hardware teams building world-class products that stalled because nobody had built the operational systems around them.
Prototypes work in a lab. Volume production requires supplier relationships, cost discipline, manufacturing rigor, and systems that scale. That's the
work I do — and I've been doing it for 20+ years.
I work with seed and Series A consumer electronics companies that need executive-level operations leadership without the 6-month VP hiring cycle. Small supply chain teams (1–3 people) moving from prototype toward production. Founders who know the product is right but the manufacturing isn't ready.
What that looks like in practice: - Planning material flow across EV, EVT, DVT, and PV build phases - Building the procurement infrastructure to move from proto to volume - Negotiating supplier contracts with operational credibility behind the terms - Selecting, qualifying, and managing contract manufacturers (US and Asia) - Implementing Arena PLM, NetSuite, and 3PL integrations - Driving 25–40% cost reductions while protecting quality and delivery
If you're building hardware and need someone who's been on the factory floor, not just in the boardroom — I'd welcome the conversation.
