About the Company
AMIS was founded on September 22, 1991 by Tom Bomer and Gerwin Timmerman. Both studied Industrial Engineering at the University of Twente. As student assistants escorted them "computer tools fourth-generation" together practicals in the box.
In the summer of 1992 Tom Bomer built based on Oracle Forms 6 and 3, a system for aircraft for
Mastenbroek Airoskill in a short time. Tom and Gerwin saw a market for a standard application. This led to the development of the Aircraft Maintenance Information System (AMIS) and thus also to the start of the company AMIS. Today, which originated in the airline still symbolized in stylized flight path under the logo of AMIS.
