Alternatives, Inc. is a multi-cultural youth development nonprofit that serves young people ages 10 to 24 and their families through behavioral health and restorative justice services. The organization offers counseling, trauma-informed care, and capacity-building for schools to create supportive environments. It runs youth leadership and
restorative justice programs that focus on conflict resolution, school safety, and alternatives to suspension. Alternatives, Inc. also provides training in racial equity, restorative practices, and trauma-informed approaches for schools and organizations. Additional activities include policy advocacy, internships, a youth employment program, and the Broken Office Chair podcast, all centered on healing, equity, and community transformation.
