Alphawood Foundation is a private grant-making foundation that supports nonprofit organizations advancing a more equitable, just, and humane society. It focuses on arts empowerment, LGBTQ+ health and HIV prevention, LGBTQ+ rights and education, empowering communities of color, legal services and advocacy, and preserving the built environment. The
foundation also maintains a general interest portfolio supporting civic, environmental, and cultural initiatives and funds Southeast Asian art history programs and scholarships at SOAS. Through Alphawood Exhibitions, it presents socially engaged art and architecture exhibitions in collaboration with venues such as Wrightwood 659. Its archaeology program funds Maya research primarily in Belize, Guatemala, and Mexico.
