Alliance is a nonprofit statewide association of intellectual and developmental disability provider agencies, case management agencies, early intervention brokers, businesses serving the IDD community, and disability advocacy organizations. The association focuses on public policy advocacy, government relations, and education to strengthen
community services and supports for people with IDD. Alliance organizes the Annual IDD Awareness Day at the Capitol, an annual Alliance Summit, policy webinars, and training events that address topics such as person-centered thinking, early intervention, employment, and technology in services. It also coordinates recognition programs like Direct Support Professional of the Year and other awards that highlight the work of professionals and advocates in the IDD system. Alliance provides member peer networks and resources aimed at improving quality and coordination of services across Colorado’s IDD community.
